Abrites BN016 – Key Learning for All BMW F-Series Vehicles ( Including BDC by OBD )

Abrites BN016 is a software license/tool used with the AVDI interface and appropriate programming hardware (usually a PROTAG unit and ENET cable) to perform advanced key programming on BMW F‑Series vehicles. It extends Abrites’s BMW key learning capabilities to include BDC modules (v85 and higher) via OBDII, as well as FEM and CAS4 systems.

This is a professional-grade tool used by automotive locksmiths, diagnostic technicians, and specialists — not a simple consumer OBD reader. It must run through the Abrites software environment with an active AMS subscription.

Key Programming / Key Learning

The main purpose of BN016 is to allow:

• Spare key addition — add new keys to the vehicle’s immobilizer system.

• All Keys Lost (AKL) key programming — create new keys when all original keys are lost.

• This works via the vehicle’s OBDII port on supported modules.
