BitBox Jaguar / Land Rover Bosch MED17 Petrol CAN

BitBox Jaguar / Land Rover Bosch MED17 Petrol CAN is a software module for the BitBox ECU programming tool used to read and write the internal flash memory of certain Jaguar and Land Rover petrol engine ECUs that use Bosch MED17‑series controllers. It works over the vehicle’s CAN bus via the OBD2 diagnostic port and performs identification, reading, writing and automatic checksum correction on supported ECUs.

Requirements & Notes

• Must have a BitBox dongle and installed software — each module is a separate licensed activation.

• Communication usually happens via CAN over the OBD2 port, using a supported adapter (e.g., J2534 or Scanmatik).

• It does not support bench programming (hardware open‑board reading) by default — that would require other modules like Bosch MEDC17 Bench for deeper access.
