BitBox Ford Continental Diesel CAN

This is a software module / ECU tuning interface used with the BitBox ECU reflashing platform (from BitSoftware). It allows technicians to communicate with and modify engine control units (ECUs) on certain Ford diesel vehicles that use Continental‑made ECU hardware via the CAN bus.

Purpose & Function

The module enables you to:

• Read ECU calibration data (such as SOFT/CAL areas) from Ford diesel vehicles equipped with Continental SIDxxx ECUs.

• Write calibration data back with automatic checksum correction so that the ECU will accept the modified file.

• Work either directly through the OBD2 diagnostic connector or on a bench (ECU removed).

• Operate over the CAN‑bus protocol, which most modern Ford diesels use.
