• Compatible VCI/interface such as VAS 6154A, PassThru J2534, or supported device
• Proper drivers
• Brand data / projects
• Correct post-setup or license configuration

2. ODIS Service and Engineering are not the same license
Having both in one package does not always mean official online access.

3. Online functions may require manufacturer authorization
Things like:

• SFD unlock
• Online parameterization
• Guided software updates
• Immobilizer/key-related protected functions
  often require official credentials and backend access.

4. Version numbers do not guarantee newest vehicle coverage
Coverage depends on:

• Installed brand data
• Project files
• License level
