Microtronik HexProg Jtag Module

The Microtronik HexProg JTAG Module is an accessory adapter for automotive ECU (Electronic Control Unit) programming tools. It is specifically designed to work with the HexProg family of ECU tuning and cloning tools from Microtronik (such as Hexprog / Hexprog II).

Primary Function

• It provides JTAG interface connectivity for accessing the internal memory of vehicle ECUs that use certain microcontrollers (notably SH72xx and MPC5xxx series).
• JTAG (Joint Test Action Group) is a hardware interface originally used for boundary scan and CPU debug, and in this automotive context it allows reading and writing ECU flash/EEPROM in Boot Mode when other communication methods (like OBD or factory mode) are not available or fail.
