This is a software activation module used in the MMCFlash tuning system for Volkswagen Group (VAG) ECUs.

 Main purpose

Module 56 is designed for Bosch MED17 and EDC17 UDS ECUs used in:

• Volkswagen
• Audi
• Skoda
• Seat
  

  What it does

  According to official module specs:

  • ECU identification (read ECU info)
  • Virtual reading of calibration data
  • Writing modified map areas
  • Error reading & deleting (DTC functions)
  • Checksum correction
  • Supports map-area operations (not full flash in most cases)
