VW Audi Porsche 2008+ Steering Lock Emulator Simulator

What it is

On many VW Group vehicles (VW, Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda) after ~2008, the steering lock system is part of the immobilizer security chain. If the ESL/ELV module fails, the car may:

• Not recognize the key
• Show “steering lock fault”
• Refuse to start

An emulator is a device that mimics a working steering lock module electronically so the vehicle’s control units believe the system is functioning.
