Nissan Kicks Micra 2018-2025 Steering Lock Emulator Simulator

What it is

A steering lock emulator (ELV/ESL bypass simulator) is a small plug-in electronic device that replaces the original electronic steering lock module when it fails.

It is commonly used on:

• Nissan Kicks (2018–2025)
• Nissan Micra (2018–2025)
• Nissan Juke
• Dacia Duster / Logan (same platform in some cases)
  

  Main function

  When the original steering lock fails (very common ELV fault), the car may:

  • not start
  • show “steering lock fault”
  • keep steering locked even with a working key

  The emulator:

  • bypasses the faulty steering lock module
  • sends the “unlocked OK” signal to the car ECU
  • allows the car to start normally
