Mercedes Benz Emulator – ESL ELV Steering Lock Emulator for W204 W207 W212 (One Plug New Box)

What it is

This device is an emulator that replaces the original Electronic Steering Lock (ESL/ELV) module. When the original steering lock fails (a very common issue in these Mercedes models), the car will not start even if the key is correct. The emulator “pretends” to be the original lock so the car can start normally.

How it works

• You unplug the faulty ESL/ELV unit from the steering column
• Connect the emulator using the original plug
• It communicates with the EIS (ignition system)
• It allows the car to start even if the original steering lock is dead

In most cases, it fully replaces the steering lock function electronically.
