Main Function

Modern cars often use CAN bus communication to activate electronic modules (like dashboard, audio, gear lever, handbrake, etc.) and bring the main controller into a “drive state.” When servicing or bench-testing these modules off the vehicle, they may not power up because the vehicle’s network isn’t present. The MT102 tool simulates that CAN communication, activating the gear lever circuitry so components can be tested and verified without needing the full vehicle harness or ECU connected.
