Abrites EM005 – ABRITES Video in Motion CAN Filter 500k

The ABRITES EM005 is a CAN‑bus filter emulator designed to enable the Video In Motion (VIM) feature on certain Mercedes vehicles — even if the factory coding doesn’t allow it. It’s a hardware add‑on installed on the vehicle’s CAN network to allow video playback while the car is moving.

Key details:

•  Allows Video in Motion (VIM) on vehicles where the standard coding doesn’t permit it.

•  Works on vehicles where the video CAN network runs at 500 kbps (“500k”).

•  Typically used with older Mercedes S‑class and CL‑class models equipped with NTG3.5 multimedia.

•  Best installed when Video in Motion can’t be activated via coding.

Compatible vehicle examples (CAN 500k):

• Mercedes S‑Class W221 (2005–2013) with NTG3.5 module.

• Mercedes CL‑Class W216 (2006–2013) with NTG3.5 module.
