Abrites – SW Update from BN014 to BN015

BN014 and BN015 are specific Abrites software license versions used with the ABRITES Diagnostics for BMW/MINI package together with the AVDI interface. These licenses enable advanced key learning and immobilizer functions for BMW vehicles.

• BN014 was the earlier release that allowed key programming (including all keys lost and other immobilizer functions) for many BMW CAS and BDC systems.

• BN015 is the updated version that extends and modernizes this functionality, particularly for newer BMW BDC modules (including version 85 and higher) and fully supports key learning via OBDII for a wider range of vehicles.

  Requirements to use BN015

  To actually use the updated BN015 functionality, you need:

  • Abrites AVDI interface

  • A valid AMS subscription

  • A PROTAG device (often ZN003 PROTAG) for key learning procedures

  • Recommended CB015 ENET cable for BMW OBD connections
    Without these, the software license won’t function.
