Abrites ZN033 NEC MCU adapter

The ZN033 NEC MCU adapter is an adapter accessory designed for use with the Abrites ABPROG programmer (ZN030). It’s specifically made to read, write, and erase NEC microcontroller units (MCUs) typically found in Mercedes‑Benz infrared (IR) key fobs, by soldering the NEC MCU chip onto the adapter.

Purpose & Use

• Bench programming accessory: Works together with the Abrites ZN030 ABPROG Programmer to handle NEC microcontrollers from Mercedes IR keys.

• Reading & writing: Allows you to read the contents of NEC MCUs, erase them, and write new data.

• Making keys “virgin”: Commonly used when a key needs to be reset/blank before reprogramming to a vehicle.

• MCU attachment: The chip is soldered directly to the adapter during the procedure — this requires good soldering skills.

• Interface needed: You must have an AVDI interface and compatible software for the adapter and ABPROG programmer to work.
