Slave vs Master: A Slave KESS3 tool cannot operate independently — it is tied to a Master tool for editing/modifying the ECU files. You must send files from your Master tuner or tuning provider.

A Slave unit cannot generate its own modified files — it only reads and writes through the Master.

Slave Limitation Summary

• Cannot generate or edit calibration files — must receive them from a Master tool/tuner.
