BitBox FCA Petrol Gen2 CAN

The BitBox FCA Petrol Gen2 CAN is a software/hardware module used for tuning, reading, and writing ECU data on petrol FCA‑group vehicles — meaning Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Fiat models that use certain Continental engine control units.

This module lets you work with the ECU (engine control unit) by enabling functions such as:

✔ Identify the ECU and check its lock/protection status.
✔ Read the full flash memory via OBD2 (CAN).
✔ Read and write EEPROM data.
✔ Unlock the ECU protection (LOCK) in BSL (bootloader) mode — required on newer ECUs to allow tuning.
✔ Write calibration data and modify performance maps.
✔ Read and clear diagnostics (DTCs).

Requirements & Notes

✅ Requires a BitBox main unit and software licence activation.
 Unlocking doesn’t work with all J2534 devices (some are listed as incompatible).
 Some operations may require ECU removal and bench connection.
