It allows you to read and write the full contents of the ECU’s flash memory via the vehicle’s OBD‑II port over CAN‑bus.
✔ FullFlash read (backup entire ECU firmware)
✔ Write calibration area (modify fuel maps, timing, etc.)
✔ Automatic checksum correction when writing back to the ECU (helps keep data integrity).

Requirements & Notes

• It is generally sold as an activation/module for the BitBox software platform, not just a standalone cable.

• Some versions may require a BitBox USB dongle and valid software activation key.

• If your BitBox variant doesn’t support automatic ECU authentication, an authentication key may need to be obtained separately (e.g., from a reflashing log or key provider) for some vehicles.
