These keys are blank smart keys that must be programmed to your vehicle before use. Simply buying one won’t let the car start or unlock — the correct security data (from your car’s EIS module) must be read and written into the key using a programmer like CGDI MB, VVDI MB, SVCI, etc.

The boards typically support both 315 MHz and 433 MHz, allowing you to set the correct frequency for your region or vehicle via software or resistor modification.

These are aftermarket keys (not OEM), and often don’t include Mercedes branding on the shell unless purchased with a full shell.
