Clixe – Mercedes 2 – AIRBAG Emulator K-Line Plug & Play

An airbag emulator (sometimes called a seat occupancy/airbag system simulator) is a small diagnostic tool designed to simulate the signals normally provided by the passenger seat occupancy sensor to the vehicle’s airbag/SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) control module. It connects into the airbag wiring harness in place of the real sensor to allow the system to operate as if a seat or passenger were present.

Purpose & Use

• Testing & diagnostics: Mechanics use this to verify correct functioning of the airbag system (e.g., restoring a valid signal after a crash reset, electrical test, or sensor replacement).
• ⚠️ Not a permanent replacement: It shouldn’t be left installed as a substitute for a genuine seat occupancy mat or sensor in normal operations. It’s intended for workshop use only and only while diagnosing or testing, not as a long‑term fix.
