PCMflash – 77 Module Bosch ME9 / MED9 / EDC16 Activation

Manufacturers and tuning tools use a sequence like this:

1. Connect to ECU via OBD, bench programming adapter, or BDM.

2. Identify the ECU type (ME9/MED9/EDC16 variant).

3. Establish communication at the correct protocol and baud rate.

4. Request security access
   The tool issues a challenge; the ECU responds with a challenge seed.

5. Compute a key
   The flasher computes the correct key based on the seed + algorithm.

6. Unlock session
   If correct, the ECU opens protected areas for read/write.
