When reprogramming onboard, always make sure the vehicle battery is fully charged and in good working condition. During reprogramming there is a risk of having the operation failure if voltage falls below the proper operating voltage. Sometimes a failed operation can be recovered, but there is a chance that failed reprogramming could ruin the control module. We recommend connecting an external battery charger to the vehicle to ensure a successful operation.

A:Never used the feature but it has the manufactures listed and I haven't found anything it won't do yet on the manufacturers i've worked on.

A:you get updates for 2 year after that you can pay autel for the updates but are not required for the scanner to keep working. I have a maxisys pro for about 3 years and after the 2 year updates were over It still works like a charm. on the updates that they add like language support fix bugs or add tests or functions that were missing.
Q: Is Spanish language available in this item? And would it include diagnostics for vehicles made in Mexico?
A: It supports English language only. It includes diagnostics for vehicles made in Mexico.
Q: What about registration ?
A:When you power it up and connect to wifi it asks you to register it. I have been using mine without registering it. The message goes away after a minute.

A: This is a tricky question but I am going to do my best to answer. The way Autel works is they appoint dealers in different regions. Each region will factor in the shipping cost and customs fee's to bring the tool into there country and add an additional price to recover the fees in bringing in the tool. Personally you should buy from someone who you feel that you can communicate with easily and frequently to address and problems you might have with the tool versus just looking for the lowest price.

Q: Does the j2534 device work with laptop-based oem reflashing software, such as ford ids or gm tech2win?
A: I personally have a maxisys pro and an elite and both have the j2534 passthru box. You just go to the oem website pay the 3 day licence download the info you need and your done. I work mostly on fords and subarus and it works like a charm. on the autel web site after you register the scanner you find a list of the oem websites just click and it takes the guess work out of it.
