BitBox Module Ford Bosch MG1 / MD1 Gen2

It’s an ECU read/write module for BitBox (software used for ECU reflashing/tuning).

Designed for Bosch MG1/MD1 Gen2 ECUs used in certain Ford petrol & diesel engines, including locked 2020+ units.

The module is a software activation license – not physical hardware – that unlocks support for these specific ECU types within BitBox.

Working Modes

1. BENCH Mode (recommended & fastest):

   • Connect ECU directly on a bench (outside vehicle)

   • Uses Scanmatik 3 adapter for stable reads/writes

   • Supports multiple Bosch MG1/MD1 Gen2 variants (e.g., TC387/TC399 flash sizes)

2. OBD Mode (via OBD port):

   • Works with quality J2534 adapters

   • More sensitive to vehicle voltage drops – good power supply advised

   • Offers reading/writing but slower & riskier than bench mode
